At Retire Beyond Borders, we take your data privacy seriously. If you believe we have mishandled your personal information or failed to uphold your rights under the UK GDPR, you have the right to lodge a formal complaint directly with us.

1. How to Lodge a Complaint

To make a data protection complaint, please email our dedicated data inbox: Email: data.retirebeyondborders@gmail.com

Please include the following in your email:

  • A clear description of your concern (e.g., a suspected data breach, a delay in a deletion request, or concerns about how your pension data was shared).

  • What you would like us to do to resolve the matter.

2. Our 2026 Statutory Commitment

In accordance with the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, we follow a strict timeline for all data-related inquiries:

  • Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 30 days.

  • Investigation: we will investigate the matter without undue delay. We may contact you to request further information or proof of identity to protect your data.

  • Progress Updates: We will keep you informed of the investigation’s progress and any expected timelines for a resolution.

  • Final Outcome: We will provide a formal written outcome of our investigation, explaining the steps taken and the reasoning behind our conclusion.

3. Escalation to the ICO

Under UK law, you must give us the opportunity to resolve your complaint directly before escalating it. If you remain unsatisfied with our final response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
